Jumpstart 2012 By Working On Ourselves “Week 4 Check In”

Wow… Congratulations! You have completed 4 weeks of pushups and sit ups, eating 7 servings of fruits and vegetables, drinking 8 glasses of water, and exercising for 30 minutes each day. Let’s not forget that you have also gone over 25 days without those cookies, candies, alcohols, cigarettes, or other vices. You should be very proud. We are sure you have lots of successes to report. It should be getting easier now but if you are still having problems squeezing your workouts in, here is a great article about overcoming a busy schedule.

    You darn right I am still in. I have noticed that I am running much faster in workouts than I did at this time last year. The body can do amazing things when it is fueled properly.

    As far as the fabulous prizes go, I’m out. I had a cold this week, didn’t get the workouts in and…..I totally caved and bought Subway for breakfast. As soon as I get on the better side of this cold I’m going to hit the ground running (and I do mean that literally) and get back to it. Congrats to everyone that is still in it!!!!!

    I’m still in. The weight is still slow to come off, but I’m running farther and longer than I was even 2 weeks ago. I actually look forward to my work outs each day.

      That’s great Katherine. Don’t worry about the weight, it’ll follow. You know you are all in when you start looking forward to workouts. Nice.

        Thanks for the encouragement! I lost about 27 pounds in the last year and have kept it off for the most part, so even if I stay where I am, at least it’s better than where I was this time last year. :) I just keep telling myself that at this time last year I was hardly able to run even 2 minutes and now I’m at an hour+ on a good day.

    “Im still in”. I feel great Im not craving anything or wanting to snack while Im at work. Im still getting to the gym before my workday starts. I feel energized, and fresh! I have lost 8.7 Lbs. Slowly going off but thats ok. Its not going the other direction! :D

      8.7 pounds in 4 weeks is pretty cool. As you said, it’s not going the other direction and that’s awesome. Keep it up and you’ll be happy with the results at the end of this challenge.

    Still going strong drinking 96 oz of water for the most getting in a lot of pushup and sit ups see huge improvement I can do roughly 100 pushups and Sit ups not looking to lose weight since I am building muscle just inches

    I am still in! Going stong – I don’t even want pop anymore even though my husband drinks up to 2 litres a day right in front of me (he has started to realize the bad food/drink choices he makes daily and has made a small change so far!) We are moving this weekend and I have been packing and cleaning like crazy but still getting my workouts in! No excuses!!!!

    “Still in!” Going strong & feeling great! Love my extra energy and watching the scale decrease! Down 9 lbs, 3″ off my waist, 2″ off my hips, and 1″ off my chest. My numbers haven’t changed on my thighs or arms yet, but hoping that will all change after the next 4 weeks.

    Still In! Official weigh in is on Sunday! On Tuesday I finally reached the 170′s! First time in 17 years I am guessing! Love it!

    Still in. Bypassed my vice successfully a few times this week when it tempted me. Got over a bruised knee from a bad fall while running in the dark last week and have bumped my weekday runs from 5 to 6 miles. Rowing and strength training at the gym on the non-running days. Been going heavy on the veggies– I am craving spaghetti squash with red sauce almost daily!

    Still in it… with drinking water, exercise along with portion control and changing eating habits now my children are asking how many calories are in what we are eating and suggesting ways to eat healthier.

    Sorry I forgot yesterday- busy busy but hanging in there. Up this morning for my Sat run -training for a 14K in two weeks. Drinking more water and find myself craving it.

    First time eating out all month/year ;) was yesterday at Applebee’s. This week was a no meat week. Got there and totally made up my own meal! Had a salad but told them to: leave out the chicken, NO fried mozerella bites and ADD spinach! She looked at me like I was crazy BUT my salad was good and HUGE lol. Filled me up and I felt great about it :) today is my last day of no meat and I’m not much of a meat eater anyway, but I’d sure like some salmon tomorrow! Tomorrow PLS hurry! Also trying my hardest to wait until 31 Jan to step on the scale. It’s hard, seeing that my scale is at the front door! Lol

    I’m out. I have two strained LCLs and have had a fever for 5 days. I’m still eating well and I was exercising well up until getting sick…. and I will continue to exercise and do all the right things…

    …but for this challenge, I am out. :(
