Bowl of Fruit, Bowl of Candy?

Choose fruit for healthy snacksBoth will have your kids running to the table for seconds and thirds. Only one will promote healthy growth, activity, and energy. Here is a quick and easy idea to keep your kids on the right track. Go to the store and grab a few apples, grapes, oranges, bananas, strawberries, and a watermelon. Cut them up in little pieces, toss them in a bowl, and put them out on the coffee table while the family is hanging out. Watch how popular that bowl becomes with mom, dad, and kids. Doing this will not only cut your families caloric intake down for the day, it’ll also provide your family with energy throughout the day, and teach your kids the importance of snacking healthy.
